Hello!

I am so excited to start my own first grade teacher blog. I have been stalking blogs for a few weeks now and so many of you have inspired me to start my own. I hope to link up and make lots of connections with all of you amazing teachers out there.

First, I have to say a big thank you to Diana at www.customblogdesigns.blogspot.com for designing my blog for me. I LOVE it. She is super easy to work with and FAST. I highly recommend her to anyone wanting a new blog or a makeover. Thank you, Diana!

Next, I can't believe all of the goodies everyone has been sharing. I have been printing stuff like crazy and can't wait to use all of my new stuff. I just set up my TpT store and put a couple of beginning of the year color worksheets there. I use these every year and have to give a big shout out to my friend, Christina, for thinking of them in the first place. I use one each day by putting them out on the desks for students to work on first thing in the morning. The kiddos are successful, don't need help, and you can take care of all of the lunch money, notes from home, parents at your door (or is that just my school??), and maybe even one or two cryers. It also helps us get into the routine of Morning Work, which I'll talk about on another post. You can check out the color worksheets here.
I also have some mixed practice here. They are both FREE and I hope someone can use them. All I ask is to please help me get started with some FOLLOWERS. Can you please follow me and leave a comment? Thank you so much - I really appreciate it.

That's it for now. I hope to hear from you!

  7. Welcome Kristin! I LOVE your blog design! I have an owl theme in my room so now I'm all about the owls!

I made my "10 things" on my MAC in keyword. Then used shift, command, 4 to get the crosshairs to take a picture of it. I then uploaded my picture to photobucket. In photobucket you are given options for the html code or a direct link. I chose the html code and placed it in there. ALSO you could just take a picture of it and upload it on blogger. I've done that tons of times and it's much easier than photobucket. Let me know if you need help!

  8. Jennifer - thanks for the tip. I am a MAC user, too, but I have never tried keyword before. I just did my 10 Things as a regular post with some cute clipart to spice it up. :)

I am obsessed with owls right now (or for about the last year) or so. I love them. You'll have to take pics of your room and post them.

Thanks for visiting! I hope you'll follow me!

  9. Amy - I am addicted to DJ Inkers. I don't have an actual theme in my classroom but I could say it's always by DJ. :) Do you have a blog??
