It sort of felt like fall this weekend. It started on Friday and I actually had to wear a sweatshirt. And then on Saturday, I wore a long sleeve t-shirt. And then yesterday, I had to wear a zip up hoodie.
Yes. This is my wardrobe and I am not a teenage girl. I am old and I have no fashion sense.
Today the heat came back. For Pete's sake, I said. I had this great Fall art project planned and it felt like the middle of summer.
Remember these from last year? Well, I guess it just so happened to be 106 degrees when we made them last year, too, so apparently, it's becoming a tradition to paint Fall trees in Desert-Like Conditions.
We worked on our background today and we are going to be painting tomorrow. I ran out of time for the whole project today because, frankly, I wasn't exactly prepared and forgot my Q-tips at home. Which means I took my sweet time showing the kids all kinds of pictures of Fall trees and I talked really s l o w l y.
I also realized I had to take down a bulletin board in order to have space for the new art pieces.
And I decided it was high time to get rid of Mother Bear. Finally.
