Happy Saturday! My brother and his puppy, Knuckles, are coming over for a play date today. My niece, Ashley, is supposed to come, too. I am looking forward to how exhausted Murphie is going to be.
I am linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching on Five for Friday (or Fraturday).
Here’s my week in a nutshell.
1.
Murphie seems to love her crate these days. Yep. All my worry was for nothing. She climbed in there ON HER OWN to take a nap while I was watching the Beverly Hills Housewives super busy saving the world.
And, no, that crate is NOT in my family room. Nope. Uh uh. It has NOT replaced my Pottery Barn end table that I had to have. And I did NOT climb inside that crate to see if it was comfy enough with a bed, a Pottery Barn throw, and an extra blanket for a pillow. I didn’t. Who told you that?
2.
Look what I found. Hmmmm. I wonder if I should have investigated? Because I didn’t. I decided to use this as a writing grade instead.
3.
This was the SECOND MOST POPULAR center at Fun Friday yesterday. And it’s because I finally remembered to put in something extra special that I usually put in long before now. And due to a brain fart or freeze or all my years of teaching running together that I think I may have already done this or read that or said whatever that I think I forgot to do it because I think I already did it. Does that happen to any of you?
Anyways, I’m going to share this SOMETHING EXTRA SPECIAL LISTENING CENTER with you tomorrow. I shouldn’t have written that in caps because it makes it look like a huge announcement and you’re probably alreaady doing it, but I just don’t feel like using the backspace or delete button at the moment.
4.
YAY! HOORAY! YIPPEE! YEEHAW! YAHOO! WOOT! GANGNAM STYLE!
My new chart was beautiful. It worked like a charm. This is it happening in real life, people. That’s real. Not just a set up. REAL.
I am gleeful.
Oh, and did I mention that without all the clips, this chart is super lightweight?
Because it is. And that, my friends, is what I call an added bonus.
(This is not a commercial, but it’s sounding like one. Unfortunately, I do not sell these on TpT and you’ll have to make your own.)
5.
Yeah, buddy.
We got together with our small group last night to celebrate the completion of our Forty Days of Purpose study. I was in charge of dessert because I decided to be and I said so.
This is Ice Cream Pie.
Also known as the Easiest Dessert To Make On The Planet.
My mom makes her own crust. She crushes up her own Oreos and melts butter to stick them all together. That’s what people think I do because I don’t tell them any different.
But, really and truly, I just buy the already made Oreo crusts at the grocery store in the baking aisle. But don’t tell anyone.
Here’s the recipe.
Pick your ice cream flavor.
Scoop and spread it in the crust. Freeze it. Take it out. Pour hot fudge on. Freeze it. Take it out. Poor caramel on. (My mom does not do this. I added it. Because I am a rebel.) Freeze it. Take it out. Add cool whip. Add chocolate sprinkles. Freeze it. (You can change and add ingredients to meet your needs. One of each of the ingredients filled two crusts for me.)
Then take the pies to someone’s house and allow them to gush all over you. Don’t forget to act like it took you forever, but it was the least you could do because you like them.
And that was my week, folks.
Nothing too exciting, as you can see.
How was yours?
