Hello there.
I am so tired. My feet are killing me.
Mostly because I stood on them all day. And maybe it was because my sandals had virtually no cushion whatsoever and it was like I was walking barefoot on HOT LAVA due to the 100 degree temperature. And I am not exaggerating. HOT LAVA, I said.
I also had my class play this morning. And, as you may remember, I was praying and hoping our book fair would be out of the library so that we could rehearse.
Well . . . it wasn’t out of the library. It was stacked and pushed and sort of organized over in one corner. Except it was seriously taking up a huge gigantic space. But I am nothing if not flexible. I could handle it.
My teammate, Laurie, and I do the exact same play, but at different times because putting 64 kids in the same play is absolutely insane, if you ask me.
We had to move a bunch of furniture in order to make enough space in the library for chairs for parents to sit on. You know – since the book fair WAS STILL IN THERE.
Laurie is a mover. Not self proclaimed, per se, but I am telling you right now – she is a mover. That girl can lift just about anything. Not to mention, she has also been known to snake her own drain, put up her own Christmas lights on the house, and mow the lawn.
I am also a mover, thankyouverymuch. I move my thumb quite frequently when I am changing channels on the TV. And while I may not snake my own drain, I can turn on the Christmas tree lights, and lie on the grass like nobody’s business.
Anywho, Laurie and I moved furniture and now my arm is hurting. This is because you are not supposed to move a big round table by resting it on your forearm. A forearm that could basically snap in two because I do not exercise my forearm. It is severely neglected. Along with my elbow. And my kneecap. And that’s just the right side. You don’t want to know about the neglect on my left side.
And now I have a bruise.
Everyone say it with me — awwwwww.
I know!
But I shall live.
Our play was terrific — I knew it would be no matter what because first graders are cute when they sing and dance and say dialogue with perfect comedic timing.
I mean, I was just the director, but at the end of the day, we rocked.
So now . . . because I’m still on a high from our performance and I’m finally off of my feet and we only have 9 1/2 days of school left (say what?), I’m having a giveaway over on my Facebook page!
A GIVEAWAY!

Oh, and you’ll be happy to know that as soon as my play was over, and all of the pictures were taken, and everyone was out . . . the big red Clifford truck came to cart the book fair away.
I told the driver he had impeccable timing and should have been in our play.
