FINALLY!!!
Good grief, that was the longest January of my entire teaching career, ever! And we didn’t return from Winter Break until January 13 so I don’t even know how the rest of you survived.
DEEP BREATH!
Okay, yay! Hooray for February!
I know February is going to FLY BY. It is packed to the brim with Groundhog’s Day, Super Bowl, Valentine’s Day, Presidents’ Day, Black History Month, Leap Year, 100th Day (or 120th Day) . . . and . . . just for fun, while we’re learning and creating and immersing ourselves in lots of rich content, MY REPORT CARDS ARE ALSO DUE.
Oh my word.
I have a lot of one on one assessments to conduct in order to complete all of the data and what-not required for my report cards AND IT JUST FEELS LIKE I WAS AN IDIOT FOR THINKING JANUARY WAS SO LONG WHEN I HAD WAY MORE TIME AVAILABLE TO ME.
But I’m telling you, even though January was so long, I swear that the report card window in February just seriously SNUCK UP ON ME.
It’s not like I was just gallivanting and strolling through January at a leisurely pace, with my purse on my wrist just-so, holding a Starbucks in one hand just-so, and not doing anything of any importance.
I’d just like to put that out there. Just to have it in writing.
But whatever.
Now, here we are, it’s FINALLY February and I need to get a move-on with several Running Records, sight word testing, phonemic awareness ETC ETC ETC.
SO . . . VOILA!!! (By the way, you pronounce VOILA – wah-la!)
I KNOW! It’s a little mini-pack of Listen and Learn Activities JUST FOR FEBRUARY. They are not attached to a specific phonics skill, or sight word list, or math concept. Instead, each printable covers a wide variety of ELA and Math skills review ALL IN ONE.
I will use these whole class when I need to pull students for some one-on-one assessments.
I can test while my other kids are engaged, on task, and reviewing a bunch of different ELA and Math skills.
And also? Who says I can’t have my whole class completely an activity while I enter a couple of grades online?
DEEP BREATH {again}!
I can breathe a little more easily now!
Well, as easy as it is to breathe while gathering Valentine supplies, books, crafts, articles, this, that, and the other for the super short month of February.

By the way, EV – ER – Y – THING is blocked by my district so I can’t use the QR codes in my classroom. That’s why I also offer these activities in a Power Point Slide with Audio option AND give you the MP3 files so you can download them directly onto your devices. My classroom computer is connected to the speakers in my ceiling which means . . . it’s SUPER EASY to just pull up the Point Point slides with audio and press play. I have a little mini tutorial of how I do this on my Instagram Highlights.
Happy February, everyone!!!
