It’s Sunday Fun Day, people! Look alive!
I started to worry that some of you might think I’m preggers. I might have misled you saying that I have exciting news along with writing a couple of posts about some health issues and friends writing sub plans for me and what not. I am NOT preggers. Hope no one is too disappointed. (and if you are, I hope you were willing to take the imagined baby for all of the middle of the night feedings and any time the imagined baby cried) Just a reminder — I have a heart condition. I’m not “allowed” to get pregnant. Husband has actually had something permanent done because my cardiologist was very worried and he called my other doctor who called me AT HOME on a SATURDAY to say that he was very worried. It was like Green Acres. Everybody knew everybody and they made house calls (just not in person but on the actual telephone). Except the permanent thing didn’t work. Hubby got it checked and it DIDN’T work. You’d think he’d feel all macho and proud about that but it’s hard to think like that when you have to go back in for round two. I feel bad for him!!! (and also a little sorry for myself because I have to be in charge of the frozen peas again AND try to cook for him while he’s on the mend, which I don’t do). That gigantic paragraph was just supposed to convey that I’m not pregnant. And my health issues this week WERE due to my heart but I am doing much better now, thank you.
I wonder what else you thought my news could be? A walk on role for The Big Bang Theory? Or Modern Family? Starring in my own Reality TV show about teaching entitled “TEACHERS – WHAT YOU DIDN’T KNOW”? The next contestant on Big Brother?

I just wrote an introduction over there which ended up a little long- winded compared to some of the other newbies. Hmmm. I wonder why? Will you please, please, pretty please go read it?? I would love for someone to read my first post as a Teaching Blog Addict author. Did you hear that? A TBA AUTHOR!!!!!! And the email said that my name was recommended to TBA by some other TBA authors. So . . . whoever you are, THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I owe you a coke! Or a coffee! Or a . . . a . . . a . . . big ole squishy virtual hug!!!!!

I was probably one of the many who thought preggers, but then again, I figured that was too easy of a guess! My hubby and your hubby are like vasectomy rejects together. My hubby went to have it done and then they couldn't "get to it" without causing him excrutiating pain. S he went and had to have it done in outpatient surgery. Luckily he wasnt in any pain, but still it was a nightmare to go thru it twice. No surprises here for us! Congrats on the TBA author! How fun!
Thought we were the only frozen peas household. Makes me love ya more. And then The Big Bang Theory…would die for a walk on.

Kristin, I just read your intro on TBA and I can tell that your blog is where I will be going for the levity that we need each day….having Sid with you the day you worked on your room….I think that was the kicker for me….sometimes you wonder if anyone can ever see where you are coming from….esp when things are cuckoo….too funny!

OH EM GEEEE – so I semi hoped that you were pregnant, because I actually thought I could be in the running for your child's virtual godmother (although I don't know you I feel like I do) but that's ok. You are hilarious Kristin! You say everything I try to filter because I can be a teeny, tiny bit sacrastic too…yep! That statement is full of sarcasm! Way to go for being one of the new TBA authors! I am too but do NOT understand "why" compared to a teacher like you and many, many of the others! I keep waiting for Tamara and Leslie to take back the invitation!
