I got my leggings from Nordstroms. They are the Hue brand and come highly recommended from Pinterest Told Me To so I did.

I don’t even feel like I saw that many movies this year . . . unless you count the ones on Netflix. So I have to stick with The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. I’ve seen it twice and I will go again if you ask me.

Someone ask me.

I’ll buy the popcorn.

The hubby and I recently started watching Scandal on Netflix. We are obsessed.

Obsessed!

Every episode ends with a cliffhanger so you have to watch the next one. We say, “This is the last one and then we’ll go to bed.” And BAM! It’s a cliffhanger so we have to watch the next one!

Yes, we have to. How can you go to bed when there is cliffhanger and you have the next episode available on Netflix?

Trust me. You can’t.

Disclaimer: I haven’t eaten there yet.

But a parent in my class has and she keeps posting pictures of her food on Facebook whenever she is there. And I keep commenting, “Yummy!” And “Delicious!” And “You’ve got to be kidding me!” when I see her plates of pasta and bread and other Tuscan entrees.

Well, guess what she gave me for Christmas?

Yes. That’s right. A gift card to Brio.

I’m thinking of taking the hubby, but I might just take me, myself, and I. There will be more food to go around that way.

I’m happy to say I tried writing my own plays for Reader’s Theater. I wasn’t sure how it would go, but it went. And it went well. My kids can’t get enough of them, and from what I hear, yours are enjoying them, too.

And the kicker is I really like writing them.

Who knew?

Not me.

Every once in awhile, one of my firsties will try to take some liberties and do some ad-libbing.

That never goes over very well.

It wasn’t a surprise gift. And it didn’t come wrapped with a bow. But still. It is a gift. A present. A Come to Mama!

I am in love with my Mini.

IN LOVE.

I often wonder how I lived without it. Well, except for that one time when I went to Sam’s Club and forgot about the mini aspect of my trunk.

If you can call it a trunk.

Oh.

Oh no.

I am still not a very good pinner.

I apologize.

I hang my head in shame.

I am tho thorry.

I have two. And since I’m one of the hosts of this party, I’ll allow it.

The first one was the overwhelming response to Sydney’s passing. Oh my word. You guys are the best people I’ve never met. Really. The post doesn’t even have words and it has over 150 comments.

The second post is called “You’ve Got to Be Kidding Me” and is just one part of a Fun Friday Poster Series that I never planned on having, but welcome to my life. Sit down and stay awhile.

I had to think on this one for a bit. Nothing came to mind right away and I had the thought that I must have wasted an entire year!

And then I remembered!

Hello!?

We rescued a puppy.

From certain death!

And not only is that an accomplishment in itself but, people, the most important thing is that I made it through the sleepless nights.

Oh, and all of my furniture is intact.

Oh my word. Look at those two. That’s my hubby and that’s Murphie when she was an Itty Bitty. Just look at them!

It’s a wonder I ever leave the house.

I have a lot of great memories from 2013 including lots of fun little trips and meeting up with some awesome people in Vegas. (Vegas was also a Series of Posts.)

But I’d have to say my very favorite memory was my niece, Ashley, graduating from high school.

I was (am) so proud of her. She worked so hard and overcame a lot to get herself to Sonoma State University . . . and she wants to be a high school Math teacher.

I love that she wants to be a teacher!!

I do not get the math part, obviously.

Or the high school part.

This is kind of funny because we just talked about goals at church this morning. We numbered seven things that we wanted to work on in the coming year. It’s all about transformation.

Never mind that I thought to myself, “Seven things to work on? That sounds like a lot of work . . . “

Luckily, the 7 items were listed for us and we didn’t have to come up with them out of thin air. (Talk about work.)

I won’t tell you all of them, but number seven for me was intellectual growth.

I wonder if I should be concerned?

Anywho, number one for me was Spiritual growth.

And no, I wasn’t trying to win brownie points with the pastor because I was at church and picked spiritual health first. Although, quite possibly, the thought might have crossed my mind.

However, when I looked at the other items, such as physical health, emotional health, relationships, etc, it occurred to me that if I could grow spiritually and in my relationship with Christ, a lot of that other stuff might just fall into place.

So that’s my goal. To become more like Christ.

Whoa.

I know this coming year is going to be a difficult one personally and professionally and I will need my faith more than ever.

I will tell you all about it soon, (when have I not told you everything about my life?) so don’t jump to any conclusions.

I am happily married. I am happily employed.

There. Stop jumping.

But I will need my faith. And it will go hand in hand with my goal for 2014 so there you go. My one little word:

P.S. I finished both seasons of Scandal in less than a week {and then searched for two hours how to watch season 3 before giving up}. Ha!! LOVE YOU!!! Can't wait for all of our fun times in 2014 🙂
