Happy Sunday to you! I have no excuse for my two day absence. None. Here’s a little visual of what I’ve been up to.
This is my baby girl, Sydney. And she just wouldn’t get off the couch or give me my blanket back. There was nothing I could do – I just had to join her. Luckily, I have one more week of Spring Break! I think I’m going to be a little more productive this week . . . I think.
In the meantime, I have brought you a new poem and word cards. I’m hoping you’ll forgive my absence. Honestly, there was nothing I could do. I had a sweet follower ask me if anyone else checks my blog for new posts only to discover the same dang one. I have no idea if more than one of you does that. I do that, though, with YOUR blogs. So I understand. Nod.
Here’s a little Bunny Poem for you – maybe it’s just in time or not at all. Maybe you’re already on Spring Break. Oh well. It’s not in time for me, either. I’m okay with that. Before we left for Spring Break, one of my teammates said, “Are you doing anything for Easter?”
HA! HA HA!
That’s what I said.
I couldn’t do anything for Easter when we had just finished up St. Patrick’s Day and then it was time for break. There was no time.
What’s that? What did I do for St. Patrick’s Day?
Let’s see here. Hmmm. I think it was on a Saturday, right? I’m pretty sure I watched movies and blog stalked. Yep. I think that’s what I did. And, in the spirit of things, I wore green pjs.
So . . . it’s just the school calendar’s fault. Not mine. And it could be this whole fidelity to the core curriculum world that I’m living in, too. Maybe.
When I go back to school, it will be the day after Easter. The day AFTER. I am praying and hoping that the kids will be exhausted from hunting for eggs and coming down from the sugar high. A poem to go with Easter? Not really my priority. Not really. Not the day AFTER Easter. My priority will be rushing to the nearest grocery store and stocking up on the Cadbury mini eggs before they are no longer. Sniff sniff. I’m pretty sure a lot of you think I’m eating the Cadbury eggs that are huge. The ones that have goop in the middle. I’m not. THESE are what I’m talking about.
But here you go. Maybe you have different priorities.

Yes, I check to see if you have posted because maybe google reader somehow missed it…kinda like when I was young ( -er, when I was younger!) and I was waiting for that "special" call and was certain my phone must not be working, so I would check for the dial tone…….Only to discover the phone was working…he just hadn't called!….see Kristin, you not blogging for multiple days brings back sad sad memories…..

Awe, these are so cute! Thanks for sharing. I love the Robin's Eggs but I refuse to buy them, because I know I will just eat the whole bag and then feel sick. I don't start Spring Break until Friday. I CANNOT wait! I plan on catching up on blog reading. I don't know how you all have the time to read everyone's blogs. There are sooooo many now. I feel like I follow 1,000!

Hey there! Thanks so much for the cute poem! I have school this week (kids for 4 days – superintendent day on Friday) and then off next week. I can't wait.
Enjoy yours!

My furry baby Rosie was very lazy today too !! It was a grey, rainy day so I stayed in my pj's and read and made tea and got some work done, with Rosie snuggled up close by. Cadbury Mini Eggs are my favourite treat at Easter. No spring break here but just a 4 day week and then 4 days off, YES ! Enjoy your holiday 🙂

So jealous of your 2 weeks. So FREAKIN' jealous!!!!
Adorable poem. I decided the kids would get a poem this month. No poem of the month. Maybe I'll change my mind now. 😀

I love that you're relaxing, Kristin.
You've earned some "quiet time," after all of the things you accomplished before Break started.
I'm not a big dog person, but Miss Sydney is melting my heart. That sweet face!
So yawn, stretch, and snuggle in. There are seven more vacation days ahead!

Leavin' you some love for the cute poem. It's just in time for me as I have 4 more days until Spring Break! Yipee! Sleeping with your sweet Sydney looks like it was a very important job. I'm glad you were able to comply!

I had those eggs for breakfast yesterday. Shhhhh don't tell my diet. Remember you can eat them all year. 12 bags = 1 year. Go to the store now before they are gone!!!

I grabbed your poem- very cute. It'll have to be saved for next year as I'm on spring break now. Yes- I do check you for new posts all the time- you are very funny & brighten my day. Your dog is so sweet looking!

I am going to grab the poem, thanks. I don't do anything at school for Easter, being in a conservative area and all. I hope you enjoy your second week of vacation (me crying snifffffff, for myself). I loved your picture of your dog, I wish I was on the couch.

I had to let you know that I am one of those that checks daily for your posts! Actually, my middle school daughter who lives on my ipad in the car, reads them to me and we laugh together. We both love you!
I am a really new blogger. I just started blogging in late February and had no idea what I was missing. I just "discovered" the fabulous world of teacher blogs last fall! I must have been under a rock!
But, I will give myself grace, because this is only my third year teaching even though I am an older gal – had a life in another galaxy before that!
Just wanted to stop by and say keep sharing the laughs!

Kristin,
I am having trouble downloading your poem. Any others? I have tried everything I know, even changed computers and changed my Scribd password! 🙂 The download tabs on Scribd aren't working for me. Any suggestions?

Thanks for sharing so many great ideas on your blog. My students love it when there is a new poem for the poetry station. We're on Spring Break too– so I'll save this poem for next year. Any plant poems sprouting anytime soon?;-)
