We returned to school on Monday after a three week break, and we just got right back into the swing of things without a hitch. It’s like we never even left, although I was staring at a couple of kids and thinking holy cow, you grew so much, what in the world, you look like a big kid now, we were only gone for three weeks! And then, of course, I had a few kids tell me I’m almost as tall as you!
Pipe down there, kid.
We started reading books about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr this week and I thought I should show you what we’ve been up to. If you see something you want to do, and you don’t have time to do it tomorrow, don’t worry.
You can either file it away for next year OR you can do what I always do.
Almost every year, when we come back on Tuesday, I say you know how we didn’t have school yesterday? Who can tell my why? And then we read another book about Dr. King or we follow up with another activity that I didn’t have time for the previous week. Not to mention, any time is a good time to talk about Dr. King! SO – it’s not like I’m unprepared or caught off guard or flying by the seat of my pants. I’m just very very very thorough. See how I did that?
SO!
We have read these books so far:

Thank you so much for the shout out, Kristin! I am so glad you and your team could use the response sheet! I, too, ran around gathering eggs for my team! Thanks again!
