Happy Saturday!
Our weekend is going to consist of all things Christmas. We usually decorate our tree and the house Thanksgiving weekend, but seeing as how we were lounging by a pool and eating everything in sight in the Dominican Republic, we are going to do it today and tomorrow.
One of our biggest traditions is that while we decorate the tree (we have moved on from real to artificial and I think it saved our marriage because, for some reason, sticking a real tree into a stand is hard or something and makes your first year husband someone you don’t even recognize) . . . anyways, we always order pizza, open a bottle of wine, decorate the tree, and listen to Christmas music. Then we admire the tree for a couple of minutes (ours has to go in our formal, fancy-pants living room because our cozy family room is just too small and there is no space for a tree and that is called sad in case you were wondering) . . . so we admire our handiwork and then we watch a Christmas movie like The Holiday or Love Actually or Christmas Vacation or Elf. Or we might watch all four. It just depends.
So that’s on my agenda for the weekend.
In the meantime, here is how my week went:
oh blast it—now Eternal Flame is worming in my head!! Have a great weekend!!

I guffawed at the not over it Mrs. Santa Claus shaker. Then I looked up the word guffaw and it is not spelled how I thought at all. One time in first grade I gave my secret santa a doll that I desperately wanted and I got a dirty pair of socks. I have NEVER participated in secret santa since. #thetraumaisreal The mix and match mama also convinced me to buy rain boots. #2pair #weak
I don't want to be an alarmist but I am well past my baby years and some months ago I got a maternity dress in the mail! Turned out to be one of a few identity theft purchases…I would check it out the baby formula delivery if if I were you.
I love every post I read of yours but today the #3 gets a BIG AMEN! My bottom retainer, which I've had 4EVER as well, came unglued a few weeks ago when I bit into a pear that the cafeteria delivered as our "snack of the day". Well, now I have a "G A P" between my 2 lower teeth and had to have it completely taken off (which feels fabulous and oh so different!) and Wednesday I get to wear a metal removeable retainer (that I was fitted for) for 4 weeks to get back to normal and then get my bonded retainer put back on! YIKES! What an ordeal! I'm with you sister! I thought my orthodontist days were over! But I paid too much moola to have a GAP! Good luck! Please give us an update! I'll be thinking of you when I'm wearing this contraption! Loved all the other 5 for Fridays but #3 really hit home!
Hi Kristin!
So I've blogstalked you for awhile now and girl you make my heart smile. My friend met you in Vegas for me so it's like we know each other and are *almost* family. ๐ I've stalked you for awhile, but not as long as my bottom retainer has been in, but close. hahaha I had to laugh out loud at that pic because I knew exactly what it was before I even read. ๐ I begged my ortho to take mine out too, but he said I would have to sign some sort of disclaimer saying I "made" him take it off or something of that sort because my teeth would move back. It's still in. ๐ I'm guessing mine is on it's way out one of these days too. ๐ Getting old, I mean growing up is AWESOME!!! hehehe
Happy Monday and rain boots are amazing! I'm cheap and went with a pair from DSW. What's a girl to do. ๐
