Hello Saturday.
And Valentine’s Day.
And Three Day Presidents’ Day Weekend.
Hello, hello, hello, I love ya.
I am this.close to finishing up the spring edition of Reader’s Theater for Kinder Kids. I actually have a spring edition in my store but, in the interest of always being honest with you and not pretending that rainbows are always arched over my head, I do not like that version and it was back before I really knew what I was doing and so I am updating it. Which means if you already own it, you’ll get this one for free. Sometimes it pays to buy my less-than-stellar-I-can’t-really-stand-it work.
I’m also going to start working on a spring edition for Advanced Readers. Let’s all hope I can stay focused. It’s going to be a bit tricky with all of the chocolate around the house and my pajamas that just won’t quit.
Okay, so this is my younger brother, Jason. Isn’t he lovely?
He decided to ignore all of his flu/coughing/weakness/fever/whathaveyou symptoms for way too long and ended up in the hospital. He was actually in the ICU for a few days and then finally got moved to a regular room. His electrolytes and heart and who knows what else was in really bad shape and he was very sick. Like scary sick. It was a relief when he was moved to a regular room.
I went to visit him and right away he asked me what games did I bring? He was bored to death. That right there tells you that I bring the fun wherever I go. I told you I was a party animal.
Well . . . I whipped out my laminate faster than you can say don’t leave any laminate trim, I hate laminate trim, cut it right to the edge all smooth-like and handed him a pair of my best laminate scissors.
I’m telling you, nothing beats cutting laminate when you’re bored. It’s like I brought him an on-the-go crafting party!
I’m happy to report that he was released last night.
By the way, I asked him if I could put this picture on my blog and I got a noncommittal shrug, rolling of the eyes sort of attitude, but my mom told him to let me, that he would be famous.
My mom is no dummy.

Yesterday was a fun, chaotic, loud, hyper, crazy kind of school day. And that only describes the first five minutes. But I made it through and treated myself to a bubble bath and a glass of wine.
But first, I ate a fun dip and a Reese’s peanut butter heart. It was one of those huge hearts. So I took a bite and put it back inside the foil wrapper all neat-like and walked away.
But then I came back and unfolded the foil wrapper and took another bite. Then I wrapped it all up again.
This went on for about thirty minutes until the whole darn thing was gone. Gone. I ate the whole thing.
But, in my defense, it wasn’t in one sitting and that’s all that matters.
This is the biggest bag of Ghirardelli Squares I have ever seen in all my life, and I’ve actually been to Ghirardelli Square in San Francisco (are there others, I wonder), and it’s still, hands down, the biggest bag I’ve ever seen.
I got it from one of my kids. That kid is my favorite, obviously.
Oh, stop, I’m just kidding. It’s a tie between him and the kid who gave me the Reese’s peanut butter heart the size of my head.
Also, I just took a picture of the bag next to my cup of coffee so you could see how big the bag actually is.
It’s for size reference.
It is not like I’m eating two types of each square for breakfast or anything.
You still have time to enter this giveaway for a chance to win an iPad mini, plus some other fun stuff! Today is the last day, though, so head over to this post {HERE} to enter.
Have a Happy Valentine’s Day!!
We must've had the same kind of school Valentine's Day, because I ended my day EXACTLY like you did — hello, wine and bubble bath! ๐
Oh my gosh I just love you. My friend had an 8 pack of Reese's hearts and wanted to get rid of them but I said NO thank you. So she put them in the teachers' room. So then I went in the teachers' room to get some because I couldn't stop thinking about them… Have a wonderful weekend!

I always love reading your posts. You make me smile ๐ I got a Reese's peanut butter heart too with 4 little hearts in it. I had one and then walked away. However, just like you, I returned until I ate all 4 of them! They were just too good. Funny thing is, I have no idea which student gave it to me as there was no name written anywhere!
