Well.
Hello.
I have five (and a half) pictures for you again today, but none of them are really school related, per se.
I don’t really blame myself for this. I blame teaching. In a classroom. With thirty-one coming and going first graders. And I blame progress reports.
So if you’re looking for an idea or something . . . well, maybe wait a day or two or a week and I’ll have something for you soon. For example, I know I’m going to tell you about a Write the Room activity. And I know I want to tell you all about how we’re using Four Stars in my classroom.
But I didn’t take pictures.
So . . . just read about some other These Are the Days Of Teeny’s Life and come back next week for some school related stuff.
The hubs and I went to Brio for dinner and a waiter (who was not waiting our table) brought this to us. But we didn’t order it.
So we said, “We didn’t order this” and we just stared on with wonder and let our mouths water.
But the waiter just left it there and walked away. So when our waitress returned, we said, “We didn’t order this.”
And she said, “Once it hits the table, we can’t take back, so enjoy.”
I said, “What is it?”
And she said, “EGGPLANT FRIES.”
Eggplant? Eggplant fries? What?
I don’t eat eggplant. It’s a vegetable. And it’s not a carrot or broccoli. But . . .
I tried one.
And holy-deliciousness-I now love eggplant. Fried. Dipped in pomodoro sauce and garlic aioli sauce. Yum Yum YUM.
Abby from The Inspired Apple shared an app on her blog last week called She Reads Truth.
It’s absolutely amazing.
I’m reading Open Your Bible and I’m on Day 6. I highly recommend this app if you’re trying to read your bible more often. I open the app to see what verses/chapter to read, but I’ve been using my study bible to do the actual reading. That’s because a study bible explains everything you just read and, sometimes, I don’t get what I just read. Yes. Sometimes, I don’t understand what I just read. A study bible is very helpful, let me tell you.
After the scriptures, there is a little article or essay or post written by ??? different people each day and their perspective on it. It’s awesome.
I just absolutely love it. Thanks, Abby!
I bought these booties accidentally last weekend.
Sheaffer at Pinterest Told Me To told me to.
I can’t wait to wear them. I’m just waiting for the weather to get out of the nineties. Once it dips down to the eighties, I’m wearing these puppies.
Anyways, I was proud of them so I posted a pic on Instagram.
AND THEN . . .
I know.
I KNOW!!!!
Apparently, it’s legit.
And I am a fashionista.
Which is laughable, but STILL!
STILL!!
STILL!!!
MY OFFICE!!!!
I think I told you that my hubby ripped out the carpet. Which kind of made me sad because it’s fairly new carpet and I kept saying let’s keep the carpet. Because then we could just paint and I could get a desk and voila.
But he thought I shouldn’t have carpet in case I drop staples or something. Because staples could get embedded into the carpet and that could be dangerous.
Meanwhile, I’ve been dropping all kinds of things on the carpet like staples and glitter and scraps and the little holes that are left over from the hole puncher and pencil shavings and other things, but oh well. I guess from here on out, I will just drop them on fake wood that is really tile.
Yep. That’s tile! TILE THAT LOOKS LIKE WOOD.
My handy husband is doing this himself so it’s taking some time. But that’s okay. He keeps saying it’s his gift to me.
I know.
AAAAWWWW.
But seriously, let’s hurry it up, shall we?

I’m giving away a Reader’s Theater Partner Play JUST FOR KINDER KIDS from my new pack THAT ISN’T EVEN OUT YET.
I know! It’s like a sneak peek and a once in a lifetime, thing, too. Right?
Ha! Well, I hope to have the pack in my store tomorrow.
But, for now, you can grab the play as a FREEBIE by clicking the picture and going to my Facebook page. It’s a hop so you can grab a bunch of freebies, too!

I downloaded the kinder play yay!! Thanks for it – super cute! And it probably is an adjustment like you mentioned earlier creating those very VERY easy beginning plays ๐ But they are so great for building that confidence!
Now you have me hungry and wanting eggplant fries…..

Well it's nice to see the other things that you get busy with. It's fun being a teacher but it's also important to take a break once in a while. I love your list especially your encounter with Nordstrom. That's pretty exciting, isn't it?!

Just put that same tile in my guest bathroom. You will have such fun finding a rug to put on top for all of those staples and small slivers of cut laminate. I'm not on Facebook because Pinterest and Houzz take up ALL of my free time. I'll have my husband grab that play for me;) Thanks a bunch. Was wondering, to you do anything cute for students who are leaving?
