I know. It’s been awhile since I’ve linked up with Doodlebug’s Five for Friday.
I have no excuse.
Unless you take into account the fact that I am super busy keeping up with all of my reality TV shows.
Anywho, here I am! All set! Not showered and just now having my coffee at 11:00am, but nevertheless, here I am and I am using huge words such as nevertheless so watch out, world. You’ve been warned. Heed my warning.
Heed.
I have no idea if that’s even correct. Heed is a weird word.
Yep! Happiest place on Earth, especially when you’re with well behaved people! The only person missing from this picture is Kerry. She was taking the picture!
So really quick from left to right in the back row: Mom, Madison, me, Lisa, Ashley. Yes, Madison is 11 and way taller than me. I know. Because she told me so every single day.
Front row: Caden and Collin. Collin is 9. He didn’t tell me he was almost as tall as me. Kerry did.
My mom brought her cane because walking around all day after breaking her femur last year is a lot harder than you’d think. Plus walking around all day after staying in pjs and watching reality TV takes a toll on this chick, too, so that cane came in mighty handy. At times, I had to wrestle it away from her, but I’m younger and stronger so I always won.
I kid!!
She’s scrappy.
For the first time, I rode California Screamin’. And the Tower of Terror.
They both made me scream and laugh until I was crying and when everyone asked if I was crying, I said it was only because I was laughing so hard, but really and truly I thought I was going to die.
Need I say more?
Okay, I will.
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, AND Sundays.
YES!
I know! Big girl!
Murphie is spoiled! She sleeps on our bed now. Which means I wake up with a fur coat every morning. Once she’s on the bed, she’s there. She will not get down to save her life. I have learned to sleep in a tuck (tucked?) position.
It took me long enough, but I finally wrote my thank you cards to my kids for my class end of year gift. It was a Gift Card Plant. I have (and some I no longer have because I used them) gift cards to Starbucks, Panera, Target, Amazon, Cheesecake Factory, Olive Garden, the movies, etc. In multiples. I treated Kerry a lot while she was here because I am so super sweet, don’t ya know.
I made my own thank you cards because I am cheap. Or I spent all my money on a Mini and The Most Versatile Dress In All WomanKind.
If you want the template I made, download it {HERE}.
Yes, I hand-wrote each card. But you don’t have to. It takes a lot to be an over achiever like me so I wish you all the best.
I got inspired to create my own button. And you don’t want to know how long this took me. Or how long I searched for a Murphie look-alike clipart-head to put in the seat next to me. Or how long I searched for a Mini Cooper S in white silver clipart . . .
Then I put it on my blog. That’s when I noticed it didn’t match the color scheme of my blog and I learned being an over achiever is actually not what it’s cracked up to be so I took it off.
I thought I was so clever driving the car and asking you to follow me . . .
Anywho, click on the pic to follow me on Blog Lovin’ if you haven’t.
And there you go.
Five for Friday.
It feels good to be back. π

I have been going through and unfollowing all of my teacher blogs and TPT favorites since I retired in May (and already regretting it). But when I came to yours I just couldn't do it. You are so entertaining and tell the funniest stories and how could I give up Talk About it Tuesdays?? Love your new button. Enjoy your summer. π

Kristin, just out of curiosity… is Kerry teeny tiny like you? You may have said so before but I cant remember. I have twins, obviously not identical as they are boy/girl twins but they are so totally different in every way!!!
