For the Love of Jon

Hey there!

I have two things to share.

Number one:  It’s Jon’s birthday today!  He is seven.  He also got to stay in school ALL DAY instead of just a half day!  🙂

He is super excited because he gets to pick out a race car for his present.  I know, I know!  Believe me, I covered all the bases.  Here is a snippet of our conversation:

Me:  Did you get to open any presents before school?

Jon:  No, not yet.  But I get to pick out a race car after school.

Me:  Wait!  What?  Are you sixteen?

Jon:  NOOOO!!

Me:  But do you know how to drive?

Jon:  NOOOO!!  Mrs. Oldham!

Me:  What?  

Jon:  It’s a remote control race car.

Me:  Ohhhh.  So you’ll sit in it and then someone will control it?

Jon:  NOOOO!!  Mrs. Oldham! (slaps his forehead)

I’m telling you, I have a knack for these types of conversations and I can keep it up all day.  Anyone else have this issue?  Could this also be a Reader’s Theater play, I wonder?

Anywho, I would absolutely LOVE IT if you would go bombard Jon’s Facebook page with Birthday Wishes.  If you go over there and wish him a happy birthday, come back here and leave me a comment.  I’ll randomly choose someone to pick out any three items from my store as a way to say thank you.

Now, I have no computer tech savvy way of making sure you wished Jon a happy birthday or not.  We are going to use the Honor system.  I was never a girl scout, but I hear they use the Honor system a lot.  It must be a good system.  Surely.  So let’s use it.

Second thing to tell you:

Tomorrow is the last day of Jon’s Fundraiser.

If you have been meaning to make a donation or share it on your Facebook page or anything under the sun regarding it, please do so before time runs out!

My goal is to have a Five for FRIDAY post up tomorrow.  
We’ll see.
We will not use the Girl Scout’s Honor System on whether or not it posts on time or not.   
Nope.
Maybe we can use the Keep Your Fingers Crossed and Wish Upon a Star System instead.
We’ll see, I said!

    I am so proud of you. Isn't it something what a difference you can make and the number of people you can touch with your blog? I bet Jon had a great birthday being in school all day with you and his friends. Our class wished him a happy birthday. 🙂 Oh, and I told my daughter (in college) and her friends all about your Talk about it Tuesday so she can enjoy your Bachelor recaps. She will LOVE them, too! 🙂
