I stayed at work late on Wednesday . . . till about 8:30. Don’t ask me what I was doing because I honestly don’t know. For real. I can’t put my finger on it.
Last night was GREAT. I am planning an Open House Lallapalooza Post for sometime this weekend.
I just got home from the retirement party. Fun! Good food, yummy drinks, and fantastic people. I laughed a lot. I lost my voice a little, too. We sang and danced for our retiree . . . we changed the words to Sweet Home Alabama. It was American Idol worthy, if I do say so myself. Although I haven’t watched since Simon left so I may be off base.
I am now going to spend some much needed quality time with the hubs. And the couch. And then my bed. PJ and I already reunited.
Are you serious? I'm commenter #1. That never happens. I'd better not type very much or somebody will beat me! Sounds like a great (but exhausting) week. Can't wait to hear about the Open House! And hey – would you be willing to share the lyrics to the retirement song? I've got a good friend retiring this year too!
We had a retirement party tonight too. Both of our elementary schools in our district put it together (there were also some district office people there)(we are a very small district). We sung songs remastered to fit the retiree. It is always a hoot! I left early to get home to the family.
I wish we still did Open House in our district(I am probably the only one).
I can't wait for the post about Open House.
I'm so happy you posted this!! I've been avoiding your blog bc I still haven't watched The Bachelorette…it's awful! Anyway, now that your Open House is over you can focus on mine 😉
