So here’s how my day was:
Poor baby. 🙁
Murphie was spayed today. She also had her stomach tacked. That is not to be confused with a tummy tuck. Apparently, it will prevent bloat – which is life threatening and involves twisting or turning or some other dangerous thing that the vet and all the guys in her training class told us about – so she will be down and out for about 14 days.
Or, at least they said to keep her down and out for the next 14 days.
I feel that this is next to impossible and cruel and unusual punishment for dog owners.
Here’s a convo with Kerry about it. My words are in blue:
Yes, Murphie cries. All.the.time. She is very vocal. Extremely vocal. Sometimes, she even talks more than me. Now that is saying something.
Literally.
Anywho . . . we will be hibernating up in these here parts for the next few days so that will give me some time to drink coffee, read, catch up on blogs, pin, FB, tweet, Instagram, watch movies, work on a Winter plays pack, nap, and tell Murphie to lay down over and over and over again.
In the meantime, I am here to announce 3 winners for my Reader’s Theater – Partner Plays for Beginning Readers {Holiday Edition} pack. Man, that is a mouthful. Geesh. Who the heck came up with that title?
I thought I’d announce the winners in a Price is Right fashion again.
You know. Because I’m lazy.
And did you know leggings make you act lazy, too? I think it has something to do with the pajama-y/lounge-y/relax-y feel to them. I am wearing my gray ones today. With socks. And a big baggy sweatshirt. And some Kettle chips of the Sharp Cheddar Cheese kind.

I was wondering about her ear too. Our boy dog was up and about and jumping on me the next day. Our girl dog however was so so so sick for five days and tried to hide in the bushes outside after going to the bathroom. Feel better Murphie!

Oh my goodness! My partner just sent me a text saying, "OMG! I think you won teeny's giveaway!" And I was like "Whaaaat???!!!" b/c the really funny part is that we bought the plays today…one of my partners bought the license and two additional licenses. I was like, "I entered the giveaway but she has a million people that read her blog, so I doubt I'll win." My pup was neutered on Friday so we are in the same 14 day boat! It's going to be a long journey. We're on day three and he is still super tired. Thanks for yet another funny post!

I hope Murphie feels better soon! I can't imagine having to keep you dog "quiet" for 14 days! I had to keep my little pug from jumping for 2 days and it didn't last 24 hours….impossible! Best of luck to you all and fast healing to Murphie! :o)
My little one got spayed yesterday. It was a restless night to say the least. Now I am trying to keep her comfortable. I hope Murphie feels better soon!
