Do you have an office space?
I don’t.
I do school work on the couch. Or at the kitchen island. Or on my bed.
I blog mostly from the couch.
I create mostly in the shower. That’s because my best ideas come to me when I’m in the shower. I hear this is normal and that I’m not to be alarmed.
And I also use the space at the top of our stairs in which we have an armoire that houses my printer, laminator, paper trimmer, hole puncher, paper, card stock, candy, photo paper, wine, sheets, old fax machine, blankets, empty ink cartridges, printer paper mess-ups that I’m too lazy to throw away, etc. It’s a hold-all. Or a catch-all. And if people come over, I just close the doors really really really tight. Well, first, I have to shove and push things, and then after about the third try, I can close the doors really really really tight.

I only dream of having my own space! My mom has a Murphy bed in her spare room. She had someone build it so it has a very nice mattress. No funky bars. It works out very nice when the grand kids visit. Good luck!

Oh sigh……I just looked at your pins…. 28 years in and I have worked on my bed, sometimes the floor and for a fancy project, the dining room table :). A girl can dream….

Since Pinterest has evolved, I have dreamed up my fantasy work space!! Unfortunately, right now I work amist the piles of weekly planning in my make shift office in the basement! Someday…..

I have a space in my house that's supposed to be an office – tucked behind bi-fold doors. I have all of my junk in there though, so I work on the couch! ๐

I have an office, but it's lonely in there! So I end up with my laptop in my lap in the comfy chair in the living room. I need to rent half of it out so we can have cubicles and talk to each other!!

I do not have an office space….I do most of my blogging and blog stalking from my bed. Most of my cutting/trimming/prepping happens on the couch. My husband wants a full sized bed in our spare bedroom…not sure I can talk him out of that. I am sure your new space will be amazing! Post pictures and maybe I can use them to convince my otherwise amazing husband.

Our spare bedroom is my craft room, but sadly I only use it during the summer. Mostly, it is storage. I do all of my blogging and school work from the couch. This way, I can be with the family. My husband claims he only ever sees the top of my head most nights.

My mom had a murphy bed and we slept on it quite a bit. It's not as comfortable as your own bed, but it's a ton better than a hideaway or a cot or a blow up pad. It was nice and we didn't mind sleeping in it. It's cool. I think that it would be perfect for an office that would only need to house a sleeper once in a while. Excellent use of space.
I'd get one for sure. I would also not go with a cheap one. Go medium to medium-expensive, just in case. Oh, my mom moved to a new house and she wishes that she wouldn't have left the murphy bed. She'd have used it in her new house. Lesson is: don't leave it. Although the new owners were thrilled to get it. So I guess it all works out. Good luck!

I have a whole room upstairs that houses my office. It used to be a kitchen believe it or not. My hubby redid the whole space himself (out to the bare bones outer wall) AND redid the adjoining bathroom โฅ

I pretty much just work from my couch and sometimes the kitchen table!

I do have a desk but it's just a catchall for my stuff I'm trying out…so it's basically buried with a zillion papers and ink cartridges. I work mostly on the couch or armchair…both very comfortable and near my dogs (the boys don't like going up and down stairs multiple times). It would be so cool if you get an office space!
PS I wasn't sure if you were getting an office or talking about the movie Office Space–love that movie!

I used to have a B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L. office *sigh* When we first got married, we turned one of our bedrooms into an amazing office with white Pottery Barn file cabinet desks (two of them!) and handmade bookshelves. We turned our other bedroom into a nursery for our daughter when she was born. Then came daughter number 2 and there went my office! We moved everything downstairs where we have a finished basement, but I never go down there. I basically just store everything there and then bring it upstairs to work on the living room floor. I blog on the couch, too! And my husband also talks to me about getting bad posture working on the floor like that…they just don't understand!

I have many office spaces….my couch, kitchen counter, the living room floor, and the dining room table if I'm working on something that I don't want trampled by my pup! ๐ Rarely, very rarely, do I ever use my actual desk!

We turned our formal dining room into an office. We never used it and it was just wasted space.
