I almost didn’t make it home today. That’s because, once AGAIN, I lost my contact in the classroom. Did you think I was going to say I lost my mind? Or my hair?
It was my left contact which just so happens to be my good eye. Which isn’t saying much because I’m really really really nearsighted. Like, FOR REAL. I’m not one of those people that say I need Lasik and it’s for a measly little -2. I’m a -12.25 in my left eye and a -14 in my right eye. People, it’s a wonder I can blink with how thick my contacts are.
So, anywho, I should now write a children’s book about this because I lost my contact when I SNEEZED. Yep. Ah-choo.
It went up into the nether regions of my eyeball somewhere and about a half hour later popped back onto my pupil.
I am now wearing my glasses. Don’t worry. The sun is almost down so there is no threat of accidental fires.
Even with all of THAT, today could not have been any better.
1) I never opened the music box.
2) All of my tables tied in table points (I don’t normally do table points but I was at my wit’s end with the chit-chat and this is working).
3) We had the BEST time with this pack from my friend, Lyndsey, over at A Year of Many Firsts:
Well, shoot. I gave up on centering this video. The Housewives are on and I need to go.
It was a FUN DAY in first grade, I can tell you that. ๐
Sounds like a lot of fun. Lyndsey's stuff is so cute!

Love it when the kids are engaged and doing cool stuff…hate it when I don't have my camera or forget to use my phone for the camera even though the phone one stinks really bad.

I'm so glad to know I'm not the only blind one! I'm -8.5 in one eye and -7.5 in the other eye. I'm sure that's nothing to you! My husband doesn't understand that I really can't see without my glasses.
So much fun!!!!
I think we need a "selfie" of you in the mask!

You guys always have a blast! I do that with my camera way too often. Working nicely- huh? What camera? Code Red? Snow storm? Ants and mice in our room (ew!)? THEN I am first grabbing my camera, second making sure the kids are safe. haha!

Super cute masks!
Gotta go get that unit! Looks so fun and how can you resist masks!
I was equally as blind… Lasik twice… did not work, but they are better than they were. Stick with the flying contacts.
OH. MY. WORD. Where do you find all these awesome videos! I cant wait to get back to school and show my kids.
I love the bossy R!! Wish I could show it to my kids, but pretty sure the site will be blocked by my district . . .
I hate when that happens with my contact!! I feel your pain wit h the glasses =)
