Well, hello there, second three day weekend in a row! I could get used to this which is probably why we don’t have another three day weekend until Memorial Day. Which is countless Mondays away. Which is cruel. Which is why we need to stop thinking about that and focus on today instead.
Or yesterday.
So . . . let me tell you about our Morning Breakfast Valentine’s Day Party.
Perfect.
Way.
To.
Start.
The.
Day.
Seriously. We had five centers where we made crafts and played Bingo and did a little word search and made our Valentine bags, and then at the end, we had some fruit and donut holes.
When the sugar kicked in, I sent them out to recess.
It was so calm and relaxed . . . I have the best moms ever. Even one mom took pictures with my fancy camera that I do not know how to use so I just snuck donut holes whenever I could and chit chatted the morning away. I probably didn’t even need to be there.
The rest of the day was filled with exchanging Valentines, some Math with Conversation Hearts, and Fun Friday. We were starting to lose it by the end of the day, though. At one point, I thought our roof might blow off, but I was able to get them mostly back under control using my megaphone and tranquilizer gun tried and true classroom signals. No one fell down and scraped their elbow. No one got a band-aid stuck in their hair. And no one thought our classroom was the playground. Nope.
I am just the best at classroom management, don’t ya know.
After school, the hubby texted this to me:
