Seriously, who am I?
It’s Monday. I have bible study tonight. And yet, here I am coming to you again about Valentine’s Day! Which is two whole weeks away! Believe me, I know when it is because the hubby and I have reservations at Ruth’s Chris and I have a Countdown to Lobster posted on my fridge.
So anywho . . . it’s true. I’m ready for Valentine’s Day – you can even grab a freebie HERE. This is because I have amazing room parents who pretty much do the whole darn thing and I just nod along, and it’s also due to Oriental Trading Company. They sent me a couple of things because they are nice. Or I am. 🙂
Look what we are going to make in one of our party centers:
Um, yes I know. I would like to have this kangaroo for a pet. I would call her Hullabaloo Roo and I would keep gold tags and chocolate in her pouch.
The best part?? There is NO GLUING! It’s peel and stick! YES! And each craft is individually packaged. It’s like Oriental Trading read my mind!

We will also be making this cute craft:
One of my room moms came in and took pictures of all the kids and it’s going to be a little present for our parents. This one is not peel and stick so I am making sure to order foam glue!
I had no idea this stuff existed. It is going to change my life, I just know it.
We will be making Valentine card holders, playing some Bingo, and eating donuts and juice.

Oh, did I not tell you?
I am having my first ever MORNING PARTY! I am so excited! Instead of waiting around for the party to start, we’ll just start. BAM. Bazinga! Good Morning Let’s Party! That’s what I’m calling it.
And then we’ll crash and burn so I’ll be sure to provide plenty of blankets and pillows and calm music.
At least that is how it’s playing out in my head. I am certainly not thinking about the alternative which involves some sort of Sugary Infused Donut Hyperness And We Can’t Calm Down Because We Had A Good Morning Let’s Party party. Nope. That thought never entered my mind.
Who would ever entertain that thought? Not me. That’s for sure.

Okay. I must go. I must eat dinner before I go to bible study or we might have a repeat of last week. And who knows if Subway will be there again. Better not risk it.

Sooo….you're trying another craft/photo op. with a bear??? I'm just laughing thinking about your funny photo session with Mama Bear at the beginning of the year! Ha! Seriously, those look adorable though and I can't wait to hear how a morning party with a room full of first graders goes!

After 12 years of teaching, I finally started doing morning parties and I think they rock! It actually calms the kids down to get it over and done with. Plus, the rest of the entire day is filled with the "afterglow,"as in, "That was the BEST party ever, teacher!" repeated numerous times.
