I’m late to the party. That bothers me. It has a little to do with me and a little to do with . . . The Bachelor, a financial class, and the rule about only blogging once a day. So you there have it.
Speaking of the financial class — the hubby and I have to work on a budget for “homework”. We started the beginning of a budget discussion and then had to stop. Quite suddenly. Almost immediately.
Um, I’m sorry, but if you threaten to chop our cable bill in half, and channels such as Bravo, MTV, and Lifetime end up in the half that dies and goes away, I WILL get heart palpitations.
Here’s my Currently. Which is late. But’s it’s current.
My 3 Words. Allow me to explain. Come on. Just allow it.
Oscar. As in worthy. Oscar worthy. My students believe I am Oscar worthy.
For example, this new document camera made me rearrange my room a little bit. And now I have an even bigger area in front of all of their desks. It is my stage. I dance, I sing, I talk, I act, I make funny faces . . . therefore, Oscar worthy. Fingers crossed I finally get nominated next year. I heard the Curriculum Cops know some people who know some people . . .
Outgoing – speaks for itself. But I think my friends think I’m outgoing and friendly. I enjoy talking to people. Meeting people. Talking at assemblies. In the lunch room. At happy hour. Over here at my house for wine and appetizers . . . you know. Generally speaking, being around people is fun for me.
Obliging – my mom and sisters read this so I’ll have to see what they think. But I tend to be a peacemaker in my family and try to oblige everyone’s wishes. I would call myself pretty easy-going in my family, but it will be interesting to see what they think. I imagine I will get two texts (the sisters) and a phone call (the mom because she says her fingers are too big to text or the letters are too small) either confirming the choice of this word or telling me how far off-base I am. In which case, I will oblige them and say that they’re right, and that I should have picked a different word.
The biggest problem with those 3 words? Hello??? O????? I had to do a google search for adjectives that begin with O (because I couldn’t really think of any on my own). Guess what I got to choose from? Odorous. Obvious. Onery. Once again, I blame the hubby’s name. Oafish. Obscene. Oblong. Obscure.
Bleck.
That’s my Currently, people. I’m sure you’ve already all linked up with Farley, but just in case . . . be sure to go visit one of my favorite bloggers!

I still haven't watched The Bachelor. Saturday for sure. I totally think you are Oscar worthy! When is Spring Break for you? One more day, praise God. The kids are kinda nuts and I need a longggg nap!!

*Ok, I am taking over your comments but it just shows how popular you are. Famous! Anywho, I meant to say Big Bang Theory t-shirts, not just random Vegas ones. LOL!

If you figure out how to get your kiddos to stop talking please let me know… In the meantime, I am wanting spring break (or maybe I should say I'm needing spring break!)

Oh.. please let me know, too – if you figure out how to get the kids to stop talking. WHAT. IS. IT? Driving us ALL batty.
You are so funny. Cutting the cable bill in half?! That's crazy talk! π
You, my friend, are definitely Oscar worthy.
O is very challenging. I'm impressed with what you were able to come up with. This all worked out wonderfully for fabulous, fantastic, fantabulous, fair, faithful and frilly Farley. π

Kim says
Yeah, Denise. I like "original" for Kristin. And One-of-a-kind… does that count?
You are obviously Oscar oriented!
And I have no doubt that you're the obliging peacemaker. Next thing you know, you'll be invited the CCops to come in and have little mini sandwiches and some goldfish crackers and then hold hands and sing.
That oughta do it!
Cutting the cable bill in half is fine–as long as all of my shows are in the half that stays!
Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday.
Don't you think teachers should have a mute button?!

Oscar…and theatrical…let's go on the road. We'll whisk in to elementary schools around the nation and hold assemblies for the students….NO the teachers….and then we will fly off to our next location. All the performances we could ever want and NONE of the money. Yup sounds great!
p.s. money is no fun to talk about. My hubs is taking away cable too. There were a few meltdowns from the kids…ok from me. But he is doing apple TV and that means we can get all THOSE expensive channels too.
TGIF!

I laughed when I read about the cable bill. My husband and I had this conversation yesterday. I am all for trying to save money, but please do not take my Investigative Discovery, House Hunters and Swamp People away. I don't want these channels, I NEEED these channels.
Have a nice weekend.

I cracked up when I read about the cable bill. My hubby and I had the same conversation on Wednesday. He wanted to cut my Bravo and Hallmark channels. Luckily, I won…

A family at my school swears by Dave Ramsey and even bought me a set of his children's books for my classroom. They even have their child using his techniques- and I'm quite intrigued. I look forward to hearing how it goes for you- but only if it doesn't make you compromise your Talk about it Tuesdays!!!!!!! Good thing the Bachelor is on regular TV and not a premium channel! π
… is there a rule about commenting more than once a day to the same person? Because if it's allowed, then I'll tell you that I also commented on your guest post about helicopters… but if it's against the rules, then I won't tell you. π

Love, love, love my document camera! By now yours is probably all hooked up. How do ya like it? I've tried to suggest cutting our cable bill in half before, but my husband puts it on the "list" of important budget items before food…so we have lots of channels and lots of food and everyone is happy. Maybe we should do our very own Blogville Oscars – you would for sure win it big!
