It’s Monday! And you know what that means!!!
PJ, Tivo, and I have a great night planned. π Bring on the Real Housewives and The Bachelor! Is it just me or does this help Mondays out a little? I mean, poor Monday. No one really likes a Monday unless it’s a holiday . . . and we talk about the Sunday blues because of Monday . . . maybe Monday has a complex?? I think that’s where the Real Housewives and The Bachelor help out. It kind of lessens the sting.
So it’s also time for Farley’s Currently. Hooray! I love Farley and I was missing her a little. Check out why she has been MIA and then you’ll know. The worst part is that she can no longer wear flip flops to school. You might never hear from me again if that were to happen to me. You think Monday has a complex? My feet just might refuse to walk me anywhere. Anarchy. Plain and simple.
Here you go:
My teaching partner has a super old dog, too. Andy. I think he’s 14. And she started talking about getting a new puppy today. To liven him up – put a little life back into him.
I really want to do the same. Like really bad. But Sydney told me no. Emphatically. She said absolutely not. And then she went into the other room and pouted. I think I am in trouble.
I think all teacher’s lounges (Lounges — is that ironic or what? No one is EVER lounging in our lounge. It’s usually the loudest, chaotic, most squished place in the whole school) should have puppies! Wouldn’t it be great to go and cuddle with a puppy during recess? Especially if you got a new boy and he decided to stick a wrench into your perfect, well-oiled machine? And then he held the wrench there? And then he left it there? Wouldn’t it be great to go hold a puppy and smell their paws? I think so.
Also, I got a comment from Bonnie at Living a Wonderful Life. She saw this and thought of me. π I love it. Read all the way to the end.
Okay, so go link up with Farley! You’ll be glad you did.
At least I am. I’m glad I did.
Your turn!

I have names picked out for my future puppy children too! Also, if you like the book The Art of Racing in the Rain, you'll love A Dog's Purpose. It's REALLY good! So now you can read four books at a time! π And yay for you for having no where to go after school! I love that feeling! Have a great week!

Love that "Heygirlteacher" stuff. Can't get enough Ryan Gosling.
Sydney is probably telling you that a puppy is a TON of work and that she'd like to just relax. π
Our lounge should be called b*tch-room… sometimes its just not the place to be. Morale is

Puppies in the staff lounge would be PERFECT! Then the child who stuck said wrench into the day could be in charge of taking care of the messes π just kidding. I might have to bring up the puppy thing at our staff meeting in the morning.

My principal brings his dog to school…always on Fridays and now a couple of random days too. The kids love him, I do too. Kramer is the best puppy boy ever. My principal is big into dog therapy…and I'm telling you, when Kramer is there it takes down the anxiety a few notches…

Our dog is about 8 or 9…and that's pretty old for him, since he's a big breed (currently sitting on my lap – at 100 pounds!!!).
I'm going to be THO THAD when he dies, he is THE perfect dog….except his shedding. I told hubs that we are getting a non-shedding dog next, and he said no bc those are froo-froo dogs….
π
that's my mission…to find a non froo-froo, non-shedding dog…lol

ummmm yeah the puppies at my house just made the old dog MORE grumpy, don't know if it was because they were twice his size or twice as young and peppy. Speaking as an old dog myself I'm going for the young and peppy!
Have a great week!

I think you should sneak into the lounge when no one is around (say midnight!) and post Ryan Gosling posters all over the lounge. That should help boost morale or if not, it will at least get people to laugh for a bit. Add in some puppies and I think you will have found teacher heaven!

We have been posting Ryan all over the school. The restroom comment is in the staff bathrooms, and the laminating comment is next to the laminator! Too funny!

PJ is a dear friend and we need bonding time. I love puppies but think my cat and bunny would say no…especially the cat because he will actually chase dogs.
We have a Teacher's Lounge that is tiny…like if there are 4 people in there than that is 3 too many…but I like the idea of a puppy in there. I am bringing my cat to work though! =)
Thank you for the sweet things you always say on my blog…you make me smile sweet friend and I am so blessed that Ms. Teeny Tiny has my back! =)

I would love love to not have anywhere to go after school. Starting tomorrow, this week is about to be crazy after school!
My dad used to take our dog to work with him every day, she'd even ride in the firetruck with him!

Wow, thanks for the shoutout! Glad you liked it π
Our dog is 13 so we're always talking about when "it" will happen. We obviously aren't looking forward to it and we both know he wants it all about him…we're not even sure if we'll be able to have a kid while he's still around so another dog is definitely out of the question π
