I am linking up with Crystal over at Kreative in Kinder for a fun little party.
It’s a letter to myself in 2015.
I think it will help.
I’m going to print it and put it with all of my back to school files. And then I think I will feel better next year.
I might even share it with my team when they look like they’re losing their hair or when they look like they’re headed to the looney bin. I’m a giver, ya know.
I’m know I’m missing a bunch of other stuff, but I think this letter includes the major points.
Unless I’m missing a major point, in which case, please tell me so I can edit my letter.
Should I add anything? What would your letter say? Maybe I need to make a book of letters . . .

Knowing that our jobs are hard make it so much better. Hearing, "I don't know how you do it," makes me feel like a super hero. I teach second grade so I say to the first grade teachers of the world. . ."I don't know how YOU do it."

What a great idea! My letter would be similar to yours. I might also include, "yes, you should have done more prep work during the summer, but that pool wasn't going to use itself!" And, "Don't worry, I'm pretty sure teeny wrote about this somewhere". I'd also like to remind myself that I am so lucky to have such a great job!

Have you ever done a post about your schedule? If not I would appreciate it. And yes we are super heroes.

Your letter is true, true, true! I tell kids who try to follow me around the classroom, "Teachers don't have tails!"

Yep- sounds about right! I need this letter to remind myself! I think something needs to be added like- Yes, no matter what I do or say to discourage it, first graders love to pick their noses (and eat it lots of times). Yuck!! Got a bunch of them again this year.

I teach Pre-K – 4 year olds. If I wrote a letter to myself for next year it would have to say – Remember it's like this every year. It gets better – in about 3 weeks. So, don't quit in disgust at least until October, by which time, you won't be disgusted.
