Happy Fraturday!
I went to school on Monday for about four hours.
I know. I’m on summer vacation and I’m complaining that it’s going by way too fast, and the first thing I do is go to school.
I have major issues, as we all know.
In my defense, I left on the last day of school like nobody’s business and we actually have to “check out” and get stuff up off the floors so that our custodians can clean the carpets. We also have to turn our keys in.
Don’t get me started on that. You can read about how I feel about that {HERE}.
So I had to go in on Monday to “check out” and make sure stuff was up on top of the counters (never mind that I piled things dangerously high and could have won a contest for the best Leaning Tower of Pisa Look Alike).
While there, I ended up making a GIGANTIC mess. HUGE. COLOSSAL. I ended up with more stuff on the floor than what I had started out with.
I also adjusted some shelves behind the whiteboard.
Or, I should say, I attempted to adjust some shelves behind the whiteboard.
Instead, I got one shelf stuck and hit my head on it. Or, it fell on my head. Whatever. However it happened, that shelf and my head collided. And it hurt.
So I left.
In a huff.
And then I went back to school on Tuesday with a better attitude and cleaned up the second mess I made, as well as showed that shelf who was boss.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, I’m a fancy-pants.
Not everyone can have pizza on a paper plate with wine in a proper wine glass.
Steve made the pizza. Before I tell you how, let me tell you how I would have made the pizza.
1. Get a Boboli pizza crust (thin).
2. Put sauce on it (from a jar).
3. Put a topping on it (for me, that would be Canadian bacon).
4. Add cheese.
5. Cook it.
And it never tastes good. I am always disappointed. So I don’t make pizza anymore. I just order it.
Here’s how Steve made our homemade pizza the other night (and I don’t know all of the details because I was opening the wine).
1. Boboli crust. Thin crust.
2. Then he added a mixture of butter, garlic, olive oil, and cheese to the crust with some kind of a paint brush. A paint brush!!! I was like, um, excuse me, did you go into my office and take one of my paint brushes? And then I remembered I don’t paint.
3. He doctored up some sauce from a jar with stuff from the pantry. I don’t know what all he sprinkled in it, but I’m pretty sure I saw garlic. And other stuff.
4. Next, he sliced tomatoes very thin and added stuff on top. I think I saw olive oil and pepper? I don’t know. Maybe there was basil?
5. After that, he asked me to grate fresh mozzarella. I always have to grate cheese. It’s my lot in life. The perk to grating cheese is you get to eat it while no one is looking.
6. Last, he added pepperoni.
7. Before he put it in the oven, I think he sprinkled one last thing on it, but who knows? I was sipping wine by then.
8. EAT IT ALL UP.
I think I could eat his homemade pizza every single day. It was DEELICIOUS.
Oh, you know, I just got a new hard cover and keyboard cover for my Mac. Our librarian had a pink hard cover and I was obsessed with it.
OBSESSED.
So I promptly ordered my own on Amazon.
It makes me so happy. It’s the little things, I tell you. And things like pizza.
It wasn’t until the next day that I realized something.
I see a pattern here . . .
A gray quatrefoil pattern, that is.
😉
We take Murphie to a nearby park every day. Sometimes, twice. It’s not a dog park, exactly, but lots of people bring their dogs there. We met the little Boxer puppy weeks ago and have gotten to watch him “grow up” a little. On this day, we had just met the white shepherd and he was so sweet!
I took this picture because Steve is the dog whisperer. No matter how much I call for dogs to come meet me and have a little cuddle, they always go to him. Always.
Although, really, in this picture, it looks like the Boxer puppy had other things on his mind besides a cuddle . . .
And there’s my big baby in the back of the car on the way home from the park. It’s hard to tell here, but she was so tired that she was leaning against the back seat as if she was lying down. It was bizarre! We laughed so hard.
After looking at the last two pictures, I have decided I live in a really nice place. Look how pretty! 🙂
We don’t have big plans for the day so I’m just gonna see where it takes me . . . isn’t that the best kind of day?
Happy Fraturday!

Your (Steve's) pizza sounds delicious! I love going to Papa Murphy's and getting a pizza skin (that crust dough in pizza people language and it's already spread out on one of their white oven safe plates) and making my own with BBQ sauce, chicken, and cheese. So yummy! Some people might add red onion to that but I don't like onion. Sad for others in my group that do. I do offer it on the side though! Happy lazy day!

At the moment, I feel just like Murphie! So tired. I have five more days of school. They'll be fun, but I'm REALLY looking forward to vacation!

I love your laptop case and am in need of one; where on Amazon did you find it. I too have been out for a week, but still need to check out. I finally got all things off the floor, but I need to purge and organize.

I am so loving your dog car seat cover for Murphie. I let my lab on my leather car seats with only a thick blanket on top and the back of the seat never is properly covered at all. I'll have to find one similar to yours if possible-Love it!
