Happy Friday!
My classroom is almost ready. And I am not going in today. I am not, I am not, I am not. I think my room would have been ready a couple of weeks ago except for the fact that I suffer from Do Everything Twice or Three Times or Until You Cry and Give Up Disease.
It is very debilitating.
I also have a touch of the Every Stapler I Own Does Not Staple Properly And I Cannot Take It Anymore Syndrome.
I hear it’s an epidemic so my hubby is on the hunt for a stapler for me and I think he even said he was going to look at Home Depot. Home Depot, people. For a stapler. I sure hope I can lift it.
Okay, before I begin, let me tell you right now that this was taken with my iPhone. You need to head {HERE} to see some very nice pictures taken with a fancy camera. I, in fact, own a fancy camera, but if I’m afraid to carry a Home Depot stapler, you can imagine my fear of lugging around a fancy camera.
Now I’m ready to begin.
Hadar, aka, Miss Kindergarten, asked me to be a bridesmaid in her wedding.
At first, she did this big sneaky lunch thing and I was super confused because some other girls showed up and I didn’t know they were coming but, as luck would have it, I’m the type of person who thinks the more the merrier (unless we happen to be in a canoe) and I was just fine with it.
We went to the Rooftop Restaurant in Laguna Beach which was absolutely amazing even though we didn’t run into any Housewives.
And then Hadar pulled these amazing Will You Be My Bridesmaid cards out of her purse. You have to go read her post about how she made them and where you can get your very own bracelets. I wear mine ALL THE TIME NOW!
I am so blessed to have Hadar in my life and I think it is very twenty-first century of us that we met online.
We are practically living the movie You’ve Got Mail except we don’t work in book shops and and there is no longer dial up and we don’t live in New York and I am not Meg Ryan and she is not Tom Hanks . . .

We had just returned from another long, hot, brutal walk, if you can’t tell.
You know my short legs walk supersupersuper fast that she practically has to sprint to keep up with me. It’s why she’s so tired.
I’m going to be sad when I’m at school all day and she’s the only one napping on the couch . . .

I AM WATCHING. I love Big Brother. I love that it’s on three nights a week. I love that I can catch After Dark every single night if I wanted, but I don’t because most of the time it’s super boring and it reminds me why I have not been asked to star in my own reality TV show. There’s only so much one can take of watching people do absolutely nothing all day.
Here are my thoughts in a nutshell.
1. I love Donnie and Nicole and Cody and Frankie. And Derrick. And Christine.
2. Caleb drives me insane and I don’t know what world he is living in, but it is not anywhere near Normalville. I think he ruined Amber’s game for her. Not in the way he thinks he did (Beast Mode Cowboy King of the House Shut Up Already You Are Delusional) but she just couldn’t do anything without him making a thing of it.
3. I am ready for a boy to go home next. They just keep sending girls home every week. HELLO? GIRLS!? GET IT TOGETHER. I mean, COME ON.
4. I especially love it because my husband watches it with me and it’s “our thing” every summer. This is not pathetic or sad, either. This is called BONDING OVER SOCIAL MEDIA EXPERIMENTS AND WINE.
This is my Word Wall. My new word wall. I haven’t had a word wall in years.
Years, I said.
STOP JUDGING ME. I still taught my kids words. I just didn’t put them on a wall. That is all. Thankyouverymuch.
If you follow me on Instagram, then you know that I did this bulletin board SEVERAL TIMES.
I separated the word boxes with ribbon. Believe it or not, that was the easy part.
The hardest part was choosing a color combination for the circles and the actual words themselves.
But this is it. The End. I am finished fooling with it.
Now, let’s all just bow our heads and pray that I remember to put the words on the word wall after we learn them.
While I was on Instagram or in Instagram or when I happened to be Instagramming (I have no clue of the proper verbiage for Instagram) several people asked if this stuff was in my store. And I didn’t answer because it wasn’t, and I am afraid to disappoint people. I am also afraid to have word wall boxes that are not the same size, but that’s neither here nor there.
But guess what?

There are two color options for the Word Wall Headers, as well as a lot of color options for the vowels . . . this is because I couldn’t decide and started over again a lot. But I am pretty happy with the way it all turned out in my room.

I have included two sets of flags that spell out “Awesome!” and “Amazing!”, but you also have some blank flags to design what ever you might like. I made a banner with my name on it, too . . . you might say I’m a Flag Freak right about now. But that’s different than waving my Freak Flag, right? Anyways, hope you can use them!

I just bought the best stapler on amazon. Paper pro – one finger – 25 sheet power. I love it!!
You are hilarious! But the stapler syndrome is a serious thing! I have it too-actually our whole center does. Out of 18 teachers, there was only ONE working stapler. Going to Home Depot for one should be interesting!

Your word wall looks great! 🙂 My hubby and I also watch Big Brother together every summer. He's not a big reality tv person, but for some reason, we just can't get enough of Big Brother! Big Brother is my favorite summer show. At the beginning of the season I wasn't sure I was going to be able to get into it, but at last I am all about it. I agree with all the people you like, and I pray "beast-mode cowboy" goes next. Honestly, who in their right mind would call themselves that lol. Your furbaby is tooo cute!

YESSS. Teeny finally does Big Brother. Two great things in one. 🙂 Isn't Frankie a super smart player? And isn't Donnie just so down home nice? But Christine…I wanna put some somethin' in her hair. For some Volume! My husband watches it too, but I think only because he's in the room. Not because he would choose it. E.V.E.R. (He likes Nicole though. 🙂 ) I love your super board and congrats on being a bridesmaid!
Ha my husband and I bond over BB, too. He had never watched it before last season. I had stopped watching it for a few years. So I asked him if he wanted to watch it with me last year and he was like "Well, I guess. Fine." And then he got OBSESSED. He goes and reads the websites that transcribe the live feeds and then tells me the spoilers ahead of the televised shows. We have long, intense discussions about it. It's awesome.
