Two weeks in a row?
I don’t know who I am. Who am I?
Anywho, Happy Friday! Do you get Monday off? We do, but I heard some friends of mine do not get it off, or that their kids get it off, but the teachers have to attend professional development training.
I feel sorry for them.
I will think of them when I wake up around ten or so that morning. And I will think of them while I watch morning talk shows and have a second cup of leisurely coffee.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I’m a giver.
So let’s get started before it accidentally becomes Saturday! I took a bunch of pictures this week.
I love date nights where I can be in my pajamas and my glasses because the hubby suggested that I slip into something more comfortable.
That’s our fancy fire pit. I think I’ve blogged about it before.
We had appetizers followed by filet mignon and vegetables covered in a delicious cheese sauce which is the only way I truly enjoy vegetables. Although, I also enjoy them with a pat of butter.
I am not a huge meat person (which is why I ate practically all of the bread on that plate) so I had left overs. Being the friendly and generous neighbors that we are (and because we had told them earlier about our plans for the evening, and they were practically drooling), my husband gave our neighbors my left over steak and veggies.
We got a text not too much later that our neighbors were returning our tupperware container with ice cream in it over the fence in 5, 4, 3, 2 . . .
Well, as you know, I didn’t finish reading the text when I saw the word ice cream and just went over to stand by the fence. And there my neighbor was with Chocolate Malted Crunch and Black Cherry ice cream from Rite Aid.
Yes.
Best Neighbors Ever!
Great Date Night.
First Day back required some Brain Breaks. Do you like the technology in my room?
I do have a projector, but sometimes I want us to be in a group and not spread out around the room. It’s cozy that way. And we bump into one another and we laugh and laugh unless someone gets hurt accidentally, and then I regretfully think I should have spread us out around the room and the word cozy is the wrong word to use with 30 kids on the carpet.
But you know what I mean.
We did a lot of brain breaks from this list so I can’t remember for sure which one this was, but I think it might have been Super Mario Brothers.
These kids love it. And I don’t mean love it, I mean they love love it.
I found this at our Post Office center for my mom, Diann. We opened up the Play-doh that she gave to us for Christmas.
It was a huge hit. HUGE.
It’s the little things, I tell you.
I love that this little girl felt compelled to write my mom a thank you card.
I probably should have had the whole class do it, but as you can see from number four on this list, we were busy doing brain breaks and bumping into one another all week.
But, Mom (she reads this), they LOVE the new play-doh set and thank you from the bottom of their little hearts!
Oh my word.
Look at this puppy!!!!!!!
He is not mine. I am afraid Murphie might think he was a chew toy. His name is Norman. My friend, Sheri (Sheri from the finger story) just got him last Saturday. So I had to call her up and tell her I was coming over and that she should think of something for us to eat because I would be staying there through dinner.
I love having good friends.
He is a Golden Doodle. A miniature one. He weighs five pounds or something little like that right now. He is almost not real and more like a stuffed animal.
He would play for about five minutes and then tucker himself out and sleep. Getting across the living room is like a marathon for him. He peed and pooped in the house, too, which reminded me I don’t want a puppy of my very own for a long time coming and they are just better to visit. Much like babies.
But just look at him. I fell in love. IN LOVE!!
Puppy Breath. Sigh.
And that about does it.
How was your week?

Your steak would not have lasted at my house. I love a good one and we never have it. But it was our anniversary this week so we had steak and potatoes or the kids had steak and my husband and I had potatoes. I believe I snuck a few tips when they weren't looking. After taking her plate to the sink, my 8 year old snuck the left-overs. The poor dog patiently (not) waited but he didn't get any steak either. We had class all week but do have Monday off and 2hr early dismissals all next week.

We did lots of Brain Breaks this week, too. When we go back on Tuesday, I'm trying a new one that I learned from my Pilates workout- on the DVD, we have to lie on our backs and write the whole alphabet in the air with our legs, but I'll probably have my kids just write their names or their spelling words. Have a good long weekend!

Hubby would love your fire pit, and if it was a few groups of 10 warmer, he would sit right in front of it for a long while, just because…I, on the other hand, I liked #5 the most- I can just imagine that little fur ball boppping across the living room floor and plopping down to sleep- oh to have a puppy again, our almost 10 and almost 11 year old dogs and our almost 15 year old kitties would not like us very much…
