Picture Dictionary

Happy Sunday!  

I had lots of cake and ice cream at the birthday party yesterday.  The best part?  They had upgraded the ice cream factor.  We’re talking no vanilla.  Nope.  They offered Cookies and Cream Birthday Blast — I don’t know what was in it, but it looked pretty tasty.  And the other choice was Caramel Waffle Cone.

It was dee-lish.
Sadly, there was no pinata.
Then we went off to church which was really amazing because the new series is all about Doing Business with God — and it’s very clear to me I am doing what God shaped me to do.  In other words, it’s a very good thing that I am not a chef.  Or a housecleaner.  Or even an accountant.
Next, we went to dinner with the hubby’s aunt.
And last, we went for a test drive.
In a new car.
That was all.  Just a test drive.  Just looking.
And five loooooooong hours later, it was MIDNIGHT, and we were driving home in a new car.
No.  Not for me.
Poop!
It’s okay, though.  Hubby continues to repeat that it’s our car.  OUR car.  So we’ll see about that.
I should have been more careful about taking a car for a test drive with the mister.  It’s much like the time we went to take a look at some puppies.  Just a look, mind you.
And then we came home with not one puppy, but two.  TWO.
So, we are now the proud owners of an Acura MDX and don’t even bother looking for a teeny tiny person driving one to see if it’s me because I doubt I’ll ever get my hands on it, regardless of what my hubs says.  
And, furthermore, it came with a DVD package which we did not want, nor need, but I’m a-okay with sitting all alone in the back while hubby drives me now that I found out I can watch TV on it.

I need to get my old car washed as soon as possible because I feel sorry for it now.  

Today, I am LOUNGING.  Yesterday was way too long.  And too busy.  I missed my couch.  And my pjs.  
So I finished up tweaking my A to Z Student Picture Dictionary and I’m excited to show it to all of you.  Well, sort of excited.  I’m kinda over it, but that’s because tweaking it took longer than I ever anticipated.  Much like test driving a car . . . 
I copy the black & white copies for each student.  And I use the color version for five or six copies (glued on contruction paper and laminated for durability) around the room.  
These are some ideas of how I use it in my classroom:
I am currently working on a Math Picture Dictionary that I can’t wait to finish because I really really really want to use it in my classroom NOW.  Yesterday, to be exact.  No.  Wait.  However many weeks ago school started . . . but woulda-shoulda-coulda, I’ll start it as soon as I get the darn thing finished.
Anywho, I hope someone can use this in their classroom.

    I would LOVE to have a copy! Creating something like this has been on my to-do list for way TOO long. I am a follower of your blog, but I actually saw your product posted on Pinterst (I swore I wasn't going to visit Pinterest today!!!!!)I'm so glad that I did and now I know where to get this great product (even though I would really, really love to win it!).     Too funny! My husband and I are like that also. If we go looking, we usually come home with something. My mom on the other hand takes FOREVER to make up her mind.

    It takes so much time to make it *Perfect*!

    Are you using a certain curriculum for your math dictionary? I have one in my head too that I want to finish, but only have gotten to the single word (large posted version) print outs of vocabulary words and not a small mini version for each student.
