I did it.
It was not easy, but I am happy to report that I finished my Summer Review for First Graders.
It was not easy because:
1) I am on vacation. Or so I heard.
2) Today is the hubby’s birthday.
3) I am lazy.
4) I’d rather be napping.
5) I think I need a snack.
So you are very welcome.
And so are the parents who asked for this before school ended. Now I can email them and act like I’m all with it and I live in the 21st century and emailing them this pack was my plan all along.
So much for the box of crayons. And the pinterest tag. And the holy-you’ve-got-to-be-kidding-me my mom is making me do homework over the summer?!
Now it will just look like it appeared from out of nowhere and not from me. So I can’t be blamed for ruining my kids’ summer vacations. Nope. Not me. I mean, I am the best teacher ever and they don’t want to leave me. That’s what they said, anyway.
Oh and did you see number 2 up above?
It is, in fact, my hubby’s birthday. My parents came out and took us to lunch. We had chips and salsa and taquitos and frozen margaritas and sat outside. It was perfect!
I also woke up in a panic remembering just this morning that it was actually my hubby’s birthday and that I hadn’t gotten him a card yet so I jumped out of bed and snuck out of the house and got him a birthday card and an iced coffee, as well as a hot coffee and raced home.
He figured out I was gone. Apparently, the garage door gave me away. So while he was busy drinking all of the coffee I got him, I signed my name to the card and wrote a sweet message while he watched.
That’s how we do birthdays around here.
As you can see, they are very special.
Anywho, I promised him that we could spend some time together and watch a movie and take a nap and eat a snack so I better get a move on.
Before I go, here are some sample pages from the pack:
