It’s Sunday.
In fact, it’s the Sunday before school resumes. How in the world can three weeks fly by so fast, and yet it can feel like it’s been a thousand years since I’ve taught?
Well, anyway, I am trying to have happy thoughts about going back to work. I love my job. It’s not even a job, really. It is my passion.
It’s just that I prefer sleeping in before I start getting passionate about things. I also prefer using the bathroom. And staying in pajamas all day.
I think what I need is a school that allows me to wear pajamas every day, have a very late-start school time, and a classroom with a bathroom in it.
Oh, and maybe some technology besides a classroom phone.
Is that too much to ask?
Today I am getting ready for my week. I am trying to prep some stuff that I had three weeks to prep, but I didn’t prep it because I was on vacation for crying out loud, and I’m trying to think of packing a lunch, and I’m trying to think of clothes that I can wear that are as comfortable as pajamas, but also just so happen to make me look like I’m a fashionista. Speaking of fashionistas, if you happen to be one, what are those pajama jeans all about? I am curious.
In the meantime, I wanted to give you all an update on Jon’s Fundraiser.
In just one week, this community has come together for Jon and his family. It is so inspiring and overwhelming. I can’t get over it. We have raised almost $10,000! In ONE WEEK, people.
What? What in the world?
I still can’t believe it.
I cannot thank you enough.
It’s mind blowing, don’t you think? My mind is blown. I would make a sound effect right now, but I am not good at those. Just picture an explosion.
In case you haven’t heard, here’s everything you get in the bundle:
All of these products are great to use in the second half of the school year.
Now that I’m “out” (and feeling less and less like I might throw up or have a coronary, and more like I just need to wear a trench coat, sunglasses, and a mustache to school tomorrow — hey, looky there, I think I just figured out my outfit), I want to share Jon’s Facebook page with you. This will keep you updated on his progress, too.
I would love it if you would go “like” his page. I think it would be awesome if it got a bunch of hits today and his grandma (who runs the site) wondered how in the world it went from this many likes to that many likes in one day.
I’m all about confusing people and making them wonder. Most of the time it’s my students.

Yesterday I was invited to Jon’s Make a Wish presentation. It was really cool. And special. You can read all about it on his Facebook page.
And that’s about all I know for now.
Well, that, and the fact that in order to pack a lunch, you must have food in your pantry and fridge.
I do know that.
Would anyone like to go grocery shopping for me?
Anyone?

That is amazing. You are amazing and Jon is lucky to have you as his teacher. However, I will not go grocery shopping for you. Unless you go for me…and that really wouldn't help either of us, darn it. Keep up the great work….have a great day tomorrow.
