Well, I’m not sure if there is a Five for Fraturday going on or not . . . could be that we’re all on vacation or something. But, as I’ve said before, I’m a rebel.
Five for Fraturday we shall have!
Although I won’t link up with anyone since there is no one to link up with . . . but other than that, it’s a party over here!
My first picture is already a rebel type of picture because it wasn’t taken this week.
Oops.
I actually meant to include it in last week’s Five for Friday, but I forgot.
My friends gave me permission to put this picture on my blog.
I think they want to be famous.
Am I right or am I right?
That’s me. The one down in front.
So, anywho, we are all wearing “Don’t Worry Be Happy” tshirts for a friend of ours going through breast cancer. These shirts are a fundraiser for her. She is loved by so many— (seriously, the outpouring of love she has received during this journey makes me want to cry and hug her and tell a news channel all about it so that people can see the good in the world instead of how this guy did that or this girl did this and blah blah blah I don’t like the news) — anyway, she is loved by so many that taking this pic and tagging her on Facebook was an easy way to make her smile.
Granted, this was taken after school. On a rainy day. The day before break.
But I look amazing, right? In my pony tail? It was raining, I said. If it’s going to rain, wear a pony tail. If your hair has roots and you’re overdue for a hair appointment, wear a pony tail. When in doubt, wear your hair in a pony tail.
I make my friends look tall. Right?
I participated in a little Secret Santa thing and I got a new scarf AND new pajamas!
LOVE!
My Secret Santa reads my blog, I think.
Or I talk about pajamas too much.
Or I wear them too much.
But that just begs the question of how in the world can one wear pajamas too much?
Murphie liked this Christmas gift a lot.
After about five minutes, she tore it apart, pulled out all of the stuffing, and left it in the backyard for me to clean up.
I am thinking I should have just given her a $10 bill and been done with it.
Guess who this is for?
No, not me. I forgot to put it on my wish list.
It’s for my class. For my first graders. My mom, as in my own mother, got it for them. She buys my class a Christmas gift every year. Recently, it has been puzzles, of which now we have several, so I hinted that we needed some fun play-doh sets for Fun Friday.
This is what’s inside. I peeked.
My mom is a really good listener. Especially when she asks how my day was and did I order the ham yet, and I say, “If you’re getting my class a gift this year like you always do, we really need some fun new play-doh sets for Fun Friday.”
Gotta love my mom.
Really. You can’t help but love her.
Well, I don’t have a picture for number five because it’s just to say that Kerry and her kids arrived on Christmas day and they are staying with me until after the new year.
We are having lots of fun.
First, we had Christmas.
There were seventeen of us at my parent’s house which is a huge amount for my family. It was loud and crowded and fun.
Second, all of the girls in my family went shopping the day after Christmas. I bought stuff.
Third, we went to my nephew’s basketball game yesterday, and then to Ruby’s. I had a dinner salad, Frings (fries and onion rings) and a chocolate banana shake.
I like to be a good role model for my nieces and nephews.
Today, everyone is coming over here for my hubby’s famous fried tacos.
As you can see, he also likes to be a good role model for my nieces and nephews.
And there you have it. You are caught up.
How has your first week of winter break been?

My break has been great…..and busy!! We went to AZ to have Christmas with my son, his girlfriend, and her 2 daughters. Luckily, my daughter and her boyfriend could come also, so it was the entire family, along with my oldest sister and her family. Home now in SoCal, so trying to rest and enjoy the next 2 weeks off. I love your posts and as a first year first grade teacher (9 years in 5th), I have been very grateful for all of your ideas and products. I am a super fan!! ๐ I hope you have a VERY restful week or 2, until you're back in school.

I love your style! I have one of those dogs too, everything we give him is a pile of stuffing in a couple of minutes, but he loves them so much! he also eyes anything that is stuffed in the house so we have to keep the non-dog toys out of his reach! happy new year, Paula at http://www.educatingchildrenwithdisabilities.blogspot.com
