It’s perfect for me because I’m still in New York with Steve and my twin, Kerry, and her husband, Robert. And, as much as I’ve been composing blog posts in my head (seriously – I do this), I haven’t had time to really slow down and get on the computer.
So!
This game is a perfect way to check in and say hi quickly. Or, as quickly as I know how because you know I’m longwinded.

I love using Reader’s Theater (Partner Plays) because my kids love it. Plain and simple. They cheer when I bring a new set out, although they would practice the same set of ten over and over and over if I let them. They take their Reader’s Theater folders to recess. And they practice them during Fun Friday because they want to.
They’re working on fluency and expression and reading all at the same time. So I love Reader’s Theater.

I like to organize my plays by color so that partners can easily find their matching folders.
Having it organized this way also helps the kids because I put Reader’s Theaters for Kinder Kids (they don’t know I call it that) and for Advanced Readers in the center, as well.

On another note, I do not wear earrings.
Which is sad. Because my older sister, Lisa, had to wait until she was 13 to get her ears pierced and I was so jealous because I was only 11 and I wanted to be just like her. My parents said I would have to ask Lisa for permission to have my ears pierced early because they had made her wait until she was 13.
Lisa said yes and I got my ears pierced at age 11.
I wore earrings a lot.
Steve gave me diamond studs for Christmas one year when we were dating and later, after we were married, I lost one.
And I never replaced them and I never wore anything else. The last time I tried to wear earrings (a long time ago), the earring wouldn’t go in so I’m pretty sure my holes closed up.
So now I don’t wear earrings. Because I’m not wearing the clip on kind and I don’t see myself going into Claire’s any time soon . . .
