Description
Morning Warm Up Slides especially for Kindergarten will save your morning! I’ve done all the hard work FOR YOU! With one click, you can add these Google Slides™ directly to your Google Drive and your morning routine is READY TO GO. They are perfect to use with your Morning Meeting, Circle Time, or Whole Group Gathering.
This is very similar to the original Morning Warm Up Slides except that the Skills are geared specifically towards Kindergarten. IN BOTH SETS, you will find the same Good Morning and Goodbye Songs, Brain Breaks, Word of the Day videos, Morning Greetings, Check In, Happy Birthday, and Let’s Read a Story. Skills listed for Kindergarten are below. Choose the resource that would best suit the needs of your own particular classroom. Just because this set says Kindergarten does not mean it would not work in a Pre-K class or even a first grade class. You know your students best.
I created these slides in an effort to make my whole class Zoom Meetings run smoother and more efficient during Remote Teaching. It helps keep me on track while also ensuring that ALL of my students are participating! Your students will need either paper/pencil or a whiteboard to complete the daily tasks. I have my students write the word of the day and draw an example during our Quick Sketch time. Students can show their knowledge of letter/sound correspondence by writing an X (crossing out) or an O (circling) on their whiteboard. The teacher can digitally move an X or an O on the google slides so that students can see if they are correct. This will work similarly with the number practice. In addition to letter practice, beginning and ending sounds will also be a focus. Two sight words are introduced each week and used in a sentence with picture clues. There is a yellow highlighter box for the teacher to move over the sight word to really emphasize it. The key is that ALL students are working and are engaged!
I will also use these if/when we return to the classroom because we will not be allowed to have carpet time. This will really help us transition from Remote Learning to the Classroom and, in the event of another school closure, back to Remote Learning. I hope your students will love it as much as mine do!
I share my screen as we “work through the slides”. Please see the video preview and the PDF preview for an UP CLOSE and IN DEPTH look.
